The “Western Tough” team of western brands has partnered with us – Tough Enough to Wear Pink – to designate April as the month to celebrate “tough survivors” of breast cancer for the third year in a row. These retailers are featuring pink products in western retailers to bring awareness to their fight.
While October is the National Month for breast cancer awareness, the western industry chose to stand apart and celebrate survivors throughout the month of April.
Throughout April, we’ll be sharing stories across our social channels to support our friends and family who are “Western Tough.”
One of those “Western Tough” teams, Twisted X, will again be sharing breast cancer survivor stories on their Facebook page every day in April.
Please look for their new pink merchandise in local western retailers across the country and on their website: www.twistedxboots.com. And of course here at TETWP in our pink shop. We couldn’t resist their new pink ribbon flip flops!
You can support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and TETWP by purchasing the “Official TETWP” pink shirts from Wrangler and complementary pink t-shirts and other official TETWP merchandise. Wrangler is the title sponsor of the TETWP™ campaign. Wrangler Western Wear is available at more than 2,500 western specialty, mid-tier and workwear stores nationwide that provide quality men’s and women’s apparel and accessories. For more information regarding the Wrangler family of products or to locate the Wrangler retailer nearest you, visit www.wrangler.com or call 1.888.784.8571.
Look for their latest pink line-up in your local western retailer or check them out at: www.wrangler.com and search tough enough to wear pink! Our favorite new shirt:
Montana Silversmiths is the “Official Silversmiths” of Tough Enough to Wear Pink. Last December at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, they honored a breast cancer survivor on Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night with a beautiful silver buckle. They too were one of our first sponsors, along with Wrangler in 2004 and continue to support breast cancer awareness through their “Official TETWP” merchandise sold in western retailers. You can check out their full-line of TETWP merchandise on their website: www.montanasilversmiths.com. One of our favorites are the TETWP ribbon earrings. A perfect gift for Mother’s Day!
And of course Purple Cowboy – the “Official Wine” of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association and of Tough Enough to Wear Pink. Purple Cowboy wines were created by the co-founder of TETWP, Terry Wheatley – now Executive Vice-President, Vintage Wine Estates. When she first started out in the wine business, she was told of a group of rodeo-riding, winemaking cowboys who drank so much wine their teeth turned to purple. They were known as the “Band of the Purple Cowboys.” Terry vowed someday to make a wine dedicated to their independent spirit. Purple Cowboy has been a proud sponsor of Tough Enough To Wear Pink since the brand was launched in 2008 and donates a portion of their proceeds to the campaign. Please ask for it at local wine retailers or you can find it on-line in the Wine Sisterhood Bottle Shop.
