Tough Enough to Wear Pink was proud to join over 1,200 guests that included more than 150 of the world’s leading breast cancer researchers, in addition to New York area opinion leaders, philanthropists, and members of the press at the annual Breast Cancer Research Foundation Symposium and Luncheon at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. At the event, BCRF awarded more than $45 million in breast cancer research grants to 207 researchers from around the world.
Watch a video here by BCRF that was played at the symposium about what research can do in the fight against breast cancer.
Tough Enough to Wear Pink has been involved with BCRF since 2005 and believe in their mission to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide, and increasing public awareness about good breast health. We have had the privilege of visiting personally with the doctors that are conducting the breakthrough research and are committed to continuing our support. One of the key reasons we support BCRF is the fact that 91 cents of every dollar spent by BCRF is directed towards breast cancer research and awareness programs.
The Wrangler Tough Enough to Wear Pink donation of $50,000 was warmly received by the entire staff of BCRF.
A special highlight of the luncheon? Wine Sisterhood wine – Monogamy Chardonnay – was proudly served to the more than 1,200 guests at the Waldorf Astoria… great wine for a great cause.
