The Cowboy Capital of the world is hosting the 60th anniversary of the Oakdale Rodeo April 9th and 10th. This professional rodeo is a central California tradition, rich in cowboy culture and with a mission to entertain folks of all ages.
The Oakdale Rodeo is a Professional Cowboy Riders Association rodeo, and its PCRA status makes it a weekend of prestige to be earned and large money purses to be won. Only the best riders will brandish their spurs. Expect to see quintessential rodeo events: bareback riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc, team roping, barrel racing, bull riding, and more.
Oakdale Rodeo Parade takes place on Saturday, beginning at 9am. Parade route begins at F Street and Mann, continues through town and it ends at F Street and Maag at the Foothill Shopping Center. The Judging stands are in front of the H-B Saloon and Ryderz restaurant.
Advance tickets may be purchased online, with a slightly lower rate for adult tickets. Tickets are also available throughout Oakdale and surrounding communities at the businesses.
